"My body my rights." And “my body my choice." We've heard these chants many times from those demanding abortion!

But a fertilized egg is not their body! Such abortion supporters claim they're "pro-choice." Yes, they are: they want the choice to kill a living human being in their womb if they want to!

But, if pregnant, they already made the choice, resulting in a unique human being and now demanding to be allowed to get rid of the consequences of that choice.

"My body, my rights" is really about people wanting to do whatever they want with sex and kill the consequences.

How do we address this argument of "my body, my choice"? Well, using observational science:

First, is a fertilized egg part of a woman's body? No, it's not! For a start, if it's male, it has a Y chromosome which didn't come from the woman but from a man!

Consider what happens if someone has a kidney transplant. They must take anti-rejection drugs as the body of the transplant recipient recognizes the kidney as foreign tissue, and will reject it. Now a fertilized egg is looked on as foreign tissue by the woman's body, but God built an anti-rejection mechanism into the uterus.

Secondly, at fertilization there exists a unique combination of information, different to the mother and different to the father—and different to any other human being who has ever existed, exists, or will exist. A unique individual exists at fertilization.

Thirdly, when a fertilized egg divides and begins building the human body, no new genetic information is added. All the information that builds a person is there at fertilization. Right from fertilization a unique human being exists.

And now using God's Word:

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well" (Psalm 139:13-14).

While the human body is being woven together, God describes this as a person, an individual.

"My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them" (Psalm 139:15-16).

While our body is still unformed, God refers to us as a person.

And truly, we are "fearfully and wonderfully made" right from fertilization.

So what is abortion? Abortion is the deliberately killing of a human being right from fertilization. It is correctly labelled murder. It is actually child sacrifice to the “god of self.” It is man doing what the devil tempted in Genesis 3:5 — to be as God; being his own god. It's sinful man, whose "heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked" (Jeremiah 17:9), shaking a fist at God and saying "you don't own me. I own myself. I will do what I want. You're not going to tell me what to do."

I find secularists mock Christians by claiming if there's a God, he is responsible for millions of abortions because of all the miscarriages. But secularists have no basis to make moral judgments, as their worldview has the foundation of man's word, therefore morality is subjective.

And they don't understand (and willfully reject) the fact that our sin resulted in judgment from a holy God. We don't deserve to even exist because of our sin against our Creator. But he judged our sin (that's why we have a groaning world of death, disease, and suffering) and then provided a way for salvation for each one of us in Christ and what he did on the cross. Miscarriages are a result of our sin. That's not God's fault; it's our fault. Sinful man doesn't want to take responsibility for our sin so will blame God (even when they claim they don't believe he exists).

"My body my rights" is anti-science, anti-Christian, anti-life, anti-healthcare, pro-death, pro-murder.

But, God is a forgiving God. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).
