Ruth Rutschilling, another Maria Stein resident, was elected to be our Vice President for the upcoming year.  Ruth and her husband Paul are farmers and have two adopted children, Carla, 14 and Justin, 12.  They attend Marion Local School, where Ruth fills in as needed in the school cafeteria.  She is also a full time mom.  Lisa Homan and Sue Moeller have graciously agreed to will serve as our Secretary & Treasurer.  Congratulations to our Officers.

Many, Many Thanks to Sarah Franck, our outgoing President, for an Outstanding Job!!!!  She was ‘Super’ during this difficult election year.  We hope that she sticks around for years to come.  Working with the pro-life movement is a rewarding and gratifying experience

MARCH FOR LIFE 2007: January 22, 2007 will mark the 34th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion on demand.

Two buses have been reserved for the Washington D.C. March for Life trip. Gary Borger, Coldwater 678-8538 and Dave Kaiser, St. Henry 678-2569, will be coordinating the event. As of this writing, seats are still available, but you must call Gary NOW to reserve your spot. The registration form for the March was in the November/December Newsletter. Payment can be made the evening of the Send-Off Rally.

One bus will take its passengers to the Youth Rally Mass to be held at the MCI Center and the other bus will take its passengers to the Ohio Congressional Breakfast, which will be held at the Capital Hilton.    Everyone will eventually meet up at the Rally point, where those attending will hear from many Congressmen sharing words of wisdom!!  The cost for the trip will be the same as last year, $75 for adults and $60 for students.  You will need to specify which morning event you want to attend, the Mass or the Congressional Breakfast.

As always, we rely heavily on contributions from individuals and organizations to help defray the cost of this trip.  Your past generosity has enabled many students from our area the opportunity to participate in a very powerful pro-life experience. We would like to see a good crowd from this area make the trip, however, if you personally cannot join us, please consider helping someone else go in your place. Please send to: Gary Borger, March Coordinator, 806 S. Dogwood Dr., Coldwater, OH  45828.

All was not lost in the November elections. Our tireless efforts have moved momentum to our side. The many Democrats who won in the election latched onto our momentum and have declared their pro-life views!!  Our nation’s youth are more pro-life than any previous generation!  The debate on partial-birth abortion has changed the focus of our nation from the rights of the woman to the humanity of the pre-born  child.   There is still much work to do, but LIFE looks promising!
